Join Sally for lunchtime pilates sessions every Thursday on the 2nd floor, Marshall’s Mill.

No sign up needed, just drop in at the times below with suitable clothing (gym clothes, comfy or loose clothes) with your own mat if you have one. These will be provided on the day however there is limited availability.

Every Thursday there will be 2 sessions, both exactly the same (mixed ability) running for 45 minutes each:

Mixed ability: 12:00-12:45
Mixed ability: 13:00-13:45

£4 per session.

Pilates is a form of exercise that helps to develop strength, stamina and flexibility in the body with an emphasis on improving core strength.

It’s a really effective, non-aerobic, low impact way of improving poor posture, strengthening a weak back, building core and pelvic floor muscles, increasing the mobility in the spine and joints, improving your balance… to name just a few benefits!

Similar to yoga, Pilates is practised with an emphasis on awareness and breath. We move mindfully and slowly through the exercises so that both your body and brain get the most benefit.

You don’t need to have any prior experience or be at a certain level of fitness to join these classes. All exercises will be layered with modifications, so you can decide the level at which you’d like to work.

PLEASE NOTE – These classes are not suitable for pre and postnatal mums and those with osteoporosis. There are specialist Pilates teachers out there for these needs. Anyone struggling with slipped/herniated discs or sciatica are advised to seek medical advice before coming to class.
